Tyler Morris – President/Owner

Tyler graduated from SDSU with a degree in Construction Management.  He started working at Beck & Hofer Construction as a Jobsite Superintendent and from there moved into Estimating & Project Management. He has years of on-the-job training, spending high school & college summers building custom homes in the area. Tyler purchased the company in 2018 and now serves as the President running day-to-day operations.

He squeezes in a round of golf whenever he can, spends time at the lake, fishes and hunts. He and Emily live in Dell Rapids and are dog parents to Ace. Most days you can meet Ace at the office as the door greeter.

David Potratz – Field Operations Manager

With over 20 years in the Construction industry, Dave knows a thing or two about how to manage a successful project. He owned his own company for a few years, was a Project Superintendent building hotels all over the Midwest for a few years, and for more than a decade he has managed projects and schedules at Beck & Hofer.

Dave was a Sergeant in the United State Air Force and is a USAF veteran. He attended tech school and the postal service management academy. He lived on the West Coast for 20 years before moving inland to Sioux Falls.

He spends as much time chasing a golf ball around the course as he can and plans to retire lakeside in SD and snowbird in Arizona…next to golf courses! He likes to cook for his family, with 4 children and 14 grandchildren, we imagine has an extra-large grill.

John Beck – Senior Estimator/Project Manager

John’s roots are buried deep at Beck & Hofer Construction. Starting on a concrete crew and working his way into project management and estimating. He graduated from SDSU with a Landscape Design degree and pursued his interests in Arizona and Pennsylvania before returning to his home state.

John and his wife, Tina, have 3 grown girls all attending the University of South Dakota, which is pretty tough on the Jackrabbit’s fan of the house! John also volunteers as a firefighter and prides himself in his community involvement.

Mike Wieseler – Estimator/Project Manager

Mike graduated from South Dakota State University (SDSU) with a Construction Management Degree. He learned the construction industry from the top down, literally, starting as a roofer at the age of 14! Through high school and college he worked everything from concrete to carpentry, gaining valuable knowledge and experience. After graduation, he worked as a Project Engineer in Sioux Falls before starting at Beck & Hofer.

Mike is a South Dakota boy, growing up on a ranch in Tyndall and participating in all types of high school sports and activities. He lived in Houston and Louisville for a short time completing internships, but couldn’t wait to get back home.

He and his wife, Kelsie, are busy raising 3 kids and wrangling a couple of dogs. They are already dreaming of a South Dakota lake house for summers and Arizona in the winter!

Stacie Bechtold – Director of Safety & Human Resources

Finding the right person to fill the job and making sure everyone goes home every night safe & sound, that’s Stacie goal every day at Beck & Hofer. She has a tall task, but works diligently to fulfill that mission daily.

Stacie’s worked in the construction industry for nearly 20 years. She can spot a safety hazard before she even gets out of her jeep! It’s also been rumored she hands out safety equipment while in Cabo. Safety is in her blood.

She cleans up after 5 fur-children and one husband, Ryan. She loves to be outside at home in her garden or their cabin, and almost always has weed spray in her hand!

Jenni Bartmann – Controller

Jenni returned to Beck & Hofer in 2018 after a 5 year hiatus at the Washington Pavilion as an Accounting & HR Manager. Since graduating from the University of Sioux Falls with a Business Administration degree, she has spent most of her career in the construction & manufacturing industries.

She lives in Chancellor with her husband, Chris, 5 kids and 3 dogs. She spends a lot of weekends chasing her kids around to various sporting events, but free summer weekends are spent on the water fishing, skiing or napping.

Rhonda Holso – Accountant

Rhonda has been with Beck & Hofer Construction over 7 years. Over the years she has successfully completed all the accounting duties in the office and is an invaluable asset to the Project Managers in keeping projects organized and on track. Plus she can tell stories about nearly everyone on staff!

She graduated with honors from Colorado Technical Institute with degrees in both Project Management and Human Resources. She began her career at Northwestern Bell and spent 15 years in telephone construction projects.

She is a Motorcycle Queen at heart! She was one of the first women in Sioux Falls to own and ride a motorcycle over 30 years ago. She’s traveled countless miles on two wheels.

Randy Williams – Concrete Division Manager

Randy grew up in a construction family of 8 brothers & sisters. He was Beck & Hofer’s first employee in 1980. He helped start our concrete division and today continues to manage multiple crews and projects. It isn’t uncommon to see him on site up to his ankles in the mud.

He is an avid pheasant hunter and enjoys hunting with his son. He and his wife are grandparents to 7 grandkids.

Norman Koehn – Senior Superintendent

Having spent nearly half of his 35+ years in the construction industry at Beck & Hofer Construction as a Superintendent and an Operations Manager, he is a staple in our company. He is a stickler for the schedule and holds everyone on the site to a high standard of performance and safety.

He grew up in Niobrara, NE and plans to retire down there overlooking the Missouri River. Norman is an outdoorsman, spending as much time fishing, hunting, camping and gardening as he can, but he is truly happy doing anything with his family. Especially his grandson Maverick!

What keeps him going every day? Folgers. Full Strength.

Lance Arp – Superintendent

Lance’s background in commercial and agricultural construction started over 25 years ago. Over the years he’s learned a thing or two about how to keep a project on track and on budget! He’s had a lot of training opportunities in leadership and an Associated General Contractors (AGC) internship.

He loves cars! He studied auto-body after high school and enjoys racing and classic cars to this day. Most summer evenings, you’ll find him at the ballpark cheering on his daughter’s softball teams.

Bill Davis – Superintendent

Bill graduated with an Associates Degree in Architectural Design. He’s a pro at making drawings come to life. He says, “If you can’t see it complete, you can’t design it.” With over 35 years of construction experience, he’s seen many building projects go from design to completion.

He and his wife, Suzanne, are happily living on the East side of Sioux Falls with their dog, Dozer. They spend most of their free time in their yard gardening. Their free time is spent at the family ranch hunting and fishing.

Laith Herrboldt – Estimator/Project Manager

Laith grew up in construction working summers in a family-owned business. After continuing to work construction in Las Vegas, an opportunity presented itself in San Francisco to pursue his first passion, architecture. Upon completion of numerous projects up and down the California coast, over to the Hamptons, and as far away as China, he returned home to Sioux Falls to raise a family.

Laith and his wife, Chelsea, have two kids and a dog for each of them. When he’s not working he can be found with a guitar in his hands, under a shade tree in Okoboji, or trying to keep up with his kids.
