Project Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires strong technical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, including drawings, contracts, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Responsible for overall submittal and shop drawing process, including making sure that they conform to contract documents.
  • Manage material procurement process for project to ensure materials are delivered to jobsite and ready for installation.
  • Prepare and submit RFI’s in a timely manner
  • Prepare and document various project meeting minutes, including Owner/Architect Contractor, Subcontractor, Pre-Installation, etc.
  • Prepare project closeout documentation including warranties, O&M Manuals and Owner Training.
  • Complete weekly progress photos
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards. Perform site safety audits
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
  • Minium 2 years of experience in construction project management or a similar role preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft, Bluebeam ).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
